Mankind goes astray at birth (Psalms 51: 5). In Matthew 2 as spoken by the prophets, the wise men came to visit Jesus. The priests, scribes and Herod “all” knew this child who was born in Bethlehem of Judea! This coming King would have jurisdiction over all mankind. Herod sought to kill him because of this.
