In the book of Colossians Paul writes to the believers at Colossae. 

• Verse 1 through 8 sets the stage for Paul’s direction or guidance he is giving to the believers at Colossae.
• In verses 4 and 5 you find 3 markers of a believer, these are:
  • Faith
  • Hope, and
  • Love
• Verse 9 starts with the reason Paul is telling the believers what he wants them to do:
  • Gain knowledge of Christ and his kingdom — not from an intellectual point alone, but one that will guide the lifestyle you will live.
  • A walk for and of Christ.
