When you stand for Jesus there will be confrontation, this was the case when Paul wrote to the church of Philippi and it will be the same today. Today’s study in Philippians 1, Paul thanks the Philippians for their love and support and tells them that his imprisonment is for the advancement of the gospel. He also gives guidance on how to continue in the work for the gospel.
