Matt continues today with part 3 of his series on God’s covenant with Abraham. The account of Abraham and Lot is covered with the end of Genesis 19. Sodom, Gomorrah and the cities of the plains are destroyed except for Zoar. The story of Lot and his family is in Genesis 19: 1-38 (Genesis 19: 1-38)
Jan 23, 2018 – God’s Covenant with Abraham, part 2 of 3
Matt continues today in his discussion of God’s covenant with Abraham. Genesis 18 & 19 with the story of God and the Covenant with Abraham. The Lord and 2 men visit Abraham and tell of a son by Sarah, that through that son all the world will be blessed. They also speak of the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham intercedes on their part. In Gen. 19:14 grace is being extended to Sodom. (Genesis 18:17 & 23, 19:14; Genesis 19:1-24)
Jan 16, 2018 – God’s Covenant with Abraham, part 1 of 3
Today Matt begins a 3 part series on how God goes into Covenant (the first covenant) with Abram, changes his name to Abraham. This lessons start at Genesis 17 where Abram is 99 years old and Sarai (who will be called Sarah) is 98. (Genesis 17:1-27)
